“We found The Barley early on in our time in Steamboat, and it has become comfortably our favorite place to grab a beer with friends. They offer a fantastic rotating selection of mostly Colorado beers (with some tourist taps that are almost invariably excellent), friendly service by people who know their beer, and fun events on a regular basis. It can get busy in the evenings, but can also be a surprisingly quiet place to grab a drink after lunch and get some work done in the afternoons.”

“Favorite bar I visited while in Steamboat. Great selection of very high-quality beers, both local and not, but all very good – you can tell whoever owns this really likes their beer. Also serve wines, spirits, and light bites. Ordered a few sours (Crooked Stave and Russian River Brewing) and IPAs (Weldwerks), and all were fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend if you like quality beer.”
